I was responsible for converting the game to use a CMake-based build system, rather than maintaining separate IDE project files for each platform. We were also already fairly familiar with most of the concepts present in the game and underlying technology, having utilized them in the development of Skullgirls Mobile. Skullgirls 2nd Encore is a bit different from our other Hidden Variable games, since we inherited a large and mature codebase. ![]() Hidden Variable took over development fairly recently (early 2020), and we have since been working to maintain and update the game with new content. Skullgirls began development nearly a decade ago. ![]() It is currently available on Steam and PS4. Skullgirls on PC and consoles is a classic 2D fighting game with lush, vibrant graphics and tight controls. ![]()
